### An Evening of Storytelling with Seán Cuddy

****Thursday, 12th November****

Step into the fascinating world of ancient Ireland, where legendary warriors, powerful gods and mysterious forces were all part of everyday storytelling.

Join acclaimed author and professional storyteller ****Seán Cuddy**** for an entertaining evening exploring some of Ireland’s best-loved myths and legends.

Seán will begin by looking at the important role mythology has played in shaping Irish history and culture, before introducing two of its most fascinating characters, ****the Morrígan****, the mysterious goddess associated with war and fate, and ****Cú Chulainn****, one of Ireland’s greatest legendary heroes.

The evening will then take a more dramatic turn as Seán brings two epic Irish myths to life through his own original retellings. Expect tales of bravery, adventure, mystery and a little magic along the way.

Whether you have a lifelong interest in Irish mythology or simply enjoy a good story, this promises to be a wonderful evening celebrating Ireland’s rich storytelling tradition.

****Come along and discover the stories, characters and legends that have captured imaginations for generations.****

Something different to do in Ireland?

Come spend an evening in the pub listening to fascinating talks, meeting interesting people, and diving into ideas you probably won’t hear anywhere else.

This is a live lecture and talk series taking place in pubs across Dublin, Belfast, Cork, and Galway. Every event features a different speaker and theme, covering everything from science, history, psychology, philosophy, politics, film, Irish culture, and bizarre internet rabbit holes to cinema breakdowns, existential questions, and strange moments from history.

One night could be about Dublin history, cult movies, or the psychology of personality. Another could explore black holes, political movements, philosophy, true crime, science fiction, or the weird side of human behaviour.

After each talk there’s a live Q&A, drinks, conversation, and a chance to meet new people who are curious about the world and up for a good night out that’s a little different from the usual pub routine.
