Her novel The Fire Starters won the EU Prize for Literature for Ireland\, 2019. The Raptures was shortlisted for the An Post Irish Novel of the Year and Kerry Group Novel of the Year. Her writing has aired on BBC Radio 3 and 4 and RTE and has been translated into twenty languages worldwide. Jan was the Seamus Heaney Centre Fellow at Queen’s University Belfast in 2025 and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. She has also achieved the rank of Chevalier in the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in France. Her first stage play\, an adaptation of the children’s classic\, The Velveteen Rabbit was produced by Replay Theatre Company at the Lyric Theatre\, Belfast in March 2025. Her latest novel\, Few and Far Between was published by Doubleday in April 2026. \nLouise Kennedy grew up a few miles from Belfast. She is the author of the acclaimed short-story collection\, The End of the World Is a Cul de Sac\, which won the John McGahern Prize. Her debut novel Trespasses\, published in 2022\, has been translated into over twenty languages. His expertise in Irish popular culture stems partly from academic study and partly from an unhealthy level of affection for Irish pop music and cult films. He maintains\, without irony\, that Fade Street and Dublin Wives are key national texts worthy of serious scholarly attention. Following several unsuccessful attempts to become a pop star\, he turned to writing books instead. As a stand-up comedian\, MC and event host\, he has performed all over the world. He has written for and performed on TV and radio and has a weekly column for the Irish Examiner. From there he found people who believed and respected him\, propelling him to go to university at the age of 21. There\, he earned a BA in English and Creative Writing\, and an MFA in Creative Writing\, both from University College Dublin\, where he was mentored by writers such as Declan Hughes\, Sarah Moss and Anne Enright. During this time\, he worked with Irish non-profit literary organisation Fighting Words\, established by Roddy Doyle in 2009\, that sparked his belief that one day he could become a writer. She received the Swedish Language Council’s Minority Language Prize in 2017. She holds a PhD in Museum Studies from Technological University Dublin and has lectured in Design History. SiobhĂĄn is from Co. Wexford and has studied and worked in museums in Dublin for ten years. Her 2022 book A History of the GAA in 100 Objects was shortlisted for Sports Book of the Year at the An Post Irish Book Awards that year. \nLar Joye is Port Heritage Director at Dublin Port. Previously he curated the award-winning Soldiers & Chiefs the Irish soldier at home and abroad from 1550 exhibition at National Museum of Ireland\, described as a museum with a museum. He played a key role in the Decade of Commemorations 2012-2017 involved in a variety of projects including the 1913 Lockout: Impact & Aftermath and Banners Unfurled exhibitions and the WWI exhibitions Recovered Voices 1914-1916 & War in the Mud\, the Irish Soldier on the Western Front\, 1917. He represented the National Museum on the Irish Battlefield commission and on the Moore Street and GPO projects. In 2016 he was historical adviser for An Post’s 2016 commemorative stamp series. More recently he has partnered with the theatre company Anu productions on the plays Pals- the Irish at Gallipoli\, Sunder and These Rooms. \nCatriona Crowe is co-presenter\, with Diarmaid Ferriter\, of the RTE history podcast What Were We Like?\, and Curator of First Thought Talks at the Galway International Arts Festival. He lives in the County Meath Gaeltacht of RĂĄth Chairn. He has written books\, articles and essays on literature\, history\, the arts and television. His novel An DochtĂșir Áthas (1994) was the first Irish language book shortlisted for The Irish Times Literary Awards. His ‘LĂșcĂĄs Ó Briain’ series of historical thrillers are set in Ireland and the continent of Europe in 1612. \nRĂ©altĂĄn NĂ­ LeannĂĄin was born and bred in Belfast. She has lived and worked in many parts of Ireland and Spain. CitĂ­ na gCĂĄrtaĂ­ is RĂ©altĂĄn’s third book. Her first is a poetry collection\, Turas Ailse (CoiscĂ©im)\, a record of a life-changing experience. Turas Ailse was followed by a collection of short stories\, DĂ­lis (ClĂł Iar-Chonnacht)\, brimming with tales rooted in the memories of her teenage years\, growing up in Belfast during the Troubles and in particular the seventies. \nDarach Ó ScolaĂ­ is a writer\, playwright\, and publisher. He is founder of the website Climatechange.ie and has a long-running blog at ThinkOrSwim.ie. He regularly appears on national media outlets. He has been a weekly environmental columnist on The Last Word on Today FM for the last five years and contributes to the Irish Examiner\, Business Post\, Irish Times\, TheJournal.ie\, and DeSmog UK. His first book\, The Lie of the Land: A game plan for Ireland in the climate crisis\, was published by Penguin in 2025.
