CELEBRATING THE MUSIC AND SONGS OF BONNIE RAITT

You might ask, what does Mississippi Fred Mc Dowell, John Lee Hooker, Sippie Wallace, John Prine, Lowell George, Sheryl Crow, B B King, Ray Charles, Jon Cleary, Paul Brady, Adele, James Taylor, Alison Krauss, Bruce Springsteen, John Hiatt, Jackson Brown and Delbert McClinton to name but a few, have in common, the answer is …the one and only Bonnie Raitt.

More than just a best-selling artist, respected guitarist, expressive singer, and accomplished songwriter, Bonnie Raitt has become an institution in American music. Thirteen time Grammy winner, 21 albums, Rock N Roll Hall of Famer, Bonnie Raitt is known for her signature blend of blues, rock, folk, and country, alongside a lifelong commitment to social activism and has had a significant impact on the music industry over her five-decade career.

With songs like:

‘Angel from Montgomery,’ ‘Nick of Time’, ‘Something to Talk About’ and ‘I Can’t Make You Love Me, this celebration of Bonnie Raitt will take you on a journey celebrating the music and songs of Bonnie Raitt all throughout her career.

It was the Dublin guitarist Greg Boland sadly no longer with us (Stevie Winwood, Leo Sayer, Moving Hearts, Scullion, AJA) who came up with the idea a few years ago to put together a tribute to Bonnie Raitt and in a way we are honouring him as well. The Band are made up of the best of Dublin musicians who adore playing Bonnie’s music.
