BIRDWOMAN is The stage name of Kellie Marie Reynolds, a Dun Laoghaire-based indie-folk singer songwriter, spoken-word poet, and theatre maker. A former vocalist with the Dublin Gospel Choir and front woman of the band Kellie and The Scruffs, she set herself up as a solo artist under her own name Kellie Marie Reynolds. Her EP ‘Ghosts’ (2014) produced by Ross Turner ( I am The Cosmos/The Din) and Simon Cullen (Ships) was released to critical acclaim in October 2014.

“bare-boned ethereal torch songs…contains a fine clatter of ideas and well-worked lyrics.”(Jim Carroll, Irish Times)

…..”a great elegance in her note selection; she’s brave about where she lays emphasis, creating a great sense of witchcraft in the song – as if she’s singing straight from the heart of Salem” (Golden Plec )

“She brings a magical flavour to the female folk-pop sound, with distinct charm”
(Golden Plec)

Her debut album And Then The Day Came was released under her new moniker ‘Birdwoman” in 2019.

“A Crackin Album, ” Wallis Bird.

It is a genre bending rabbit hole journey through acoustic folk-pop numbers, ethereal, bluesy ballads and gypsy punk electric guitar sounds. In 2019 she won the Leinster heats of the All Ireland Slam Poetry Championship and started to blend spoken word and music. This led to her experimentations with improvisation and music with her first all improv show “20 mins of deliberate absurdity “in 2024 for Scene and Heard festival at smock Alley. Her sold out fully improvised show Brigid in Space took place on St Brigids Day 2026 and her newest theatre and music show “All The Things I Thought Were Not Enough”. premiered in Feb 2026 as part of Scene and Heard. Her live shows now combine her original music and her experiments with live song crafting from the ideas of her audience.

Bróna Keogh is known for her soulful vocals, poignant lyrics, and a unique musical blend influenced by folklore and the natural world. Her music spans various styles, drawing inspiration from R&B, neo-soul, jazz, blues. Her artistic goal is to have a positive impact on the wellbeing of others by creating a safe space where people can connect with themselves and others on a deeper level.

Her first big step as a solo artist was the inclusion of her song Head in the Sky in the Irish feature film South by Gerard Walsh, who just signed a distribution deal for the film with Amazon Prime.

Her Debut single Sea Witch, inspired by the story of The Little Mermaid, was released late September 2018. It describes her journey navigating the loss of her voice due to vocal injury and her struggles coping with anxiety and depression.

She supported artists David Kitt, Wyvern Lingo, Saint Sister, Liam O’Maonlai, I Draw Slow and Mick Pyro in local venues The Purty Kitchen and The Harbour Bar.

While living in New Zealand she supported Nadia Reid who has since been a huge inspiration and influence on her confidence as a solo female artist.

Her second single Far Away was released on December 4th followed by her debut EP Packed My Bags in February 2021 with support from the Arts Council. The EP explores themes of trauma, consent, personal growth and emigration.

Crispy Quill is a multi-instrumentalist from Sallynoggin who loves clawhammer banjos and smashing up acoustic guitars with deep picking patterns and wide open tunings. She loves to explore big sounds and reverbs and pinches from Appalachian, folk, blues and American primitive guitar playing. After spending most her life backing up some of Dublin and Wicklows most loved, underground hidden gems she has recently began on a path of her own new writing music which has been an exciting time for growing her ethereal experimental sounds. Thank you to DLR Arts office for supporting her music project in 2026.
