“Wall Of Sound” – The Phil Spector Story – Live at The Purty Kitchen

Phil Spector's 'Wall of Sound' bring their stage show to The Purty Kitchen for one night only this coming October! Not to be missed!

Exploring the life and music of iconic songwriter and record producer Phil Spector.

With Ten piece band including brass and 3 female vocalists.

Presented by The Group, a family run team of writers, actors, producers and musicians. Over the last ten years The Group have presented a number of musical productions, both in Ireland and the United Kingdom, the most successful being The Live Last Waltz which regularly sells out The Olympia Theatre in Dublin.

This latest production is set in a 60s style recording studio as ten performers bring the music of Phil Spector to life.

to the darker side of Spector’s Work with performances such as John Lennon’s “Mother”and The Righteous brothers huge hit “you’ve lost that loving feeling”

All are delivered with the true feel and experience of Spector’s Famous Wall of Sound recording technique.

As we move through the show, we see Spector’s decline from the world’s most successful record producer to the failed genius, last seen being led from a courtroom to commence a life sentence for the murder of model Lana Clarkson.

His wife, Ronnie, is imprisoned in her own home.Spector lets a live round off during a recording session with John Lennon. Leonard Cohen is threatened at gunpoint while producing Death Of A Lady’s Man,and The Ramones are held hostage in studio “until they nail it”

The entire experience is against a musical backdrop of timeless music and played with a true and faithful Wall Of Sound,performed by an outstanding live ten piece band including brass, strings, drums, double bass, percussion, guitars, keyboards and three female vocalists.
