Black Rose DC featuring Moonlight Star Peter M. Smith – Live in Concert
October 31 @ 8:00 pm - 11:30 pm

Don’t miss Black Rose DC – Live in Concert this coming October for one night only live at The Purty Kitchen Dún Laoghaire , featuring Peter M. Smyth and his band performing Thin Lizzy’s Greatest Hits!
Having blazed a trail playing Irish music legend Philip Lynott in the smash hit musical theatre spectacular ‘Moonlight: The Philip Lynott Enigma’, Peter M. Smyth is now taking on all comers as a rock star in his own right.
With the experience of writing and performing with artists across Europe, Peter’s rock pedigree is now coming to the fore.
Since his early teenage years having been giving his stage debut supporting showband legend Dickie Rock he was always headed towards the lights of epic rock performance.
Peter is a passionate collaborator. He voiced the original songs on the ‘Fir na Ceol’ album featuring Oboe legend David Agnew and written by David Downes that ended up becoming the basis of ‘Celtic Woman’ a global phenomenon. Later, having produced and written songs for the likes of Phixx (4 top 20 UK hits) and dueting with Spanish rock legends Lax N’ Busto on their no.1 single ‘Crazy World’, Peter moved the needle in 2015 when he conceived and produced the Irish No.1 album ‘Ireland Laid Bare’ which featured the cream of Ireland’s underground and emerging rock and pop talents.
Returning to the stage with Moonlight, playing Philip Lynott has seen his stock rise on the music scene and he is ready now to take on the world both as an actor and a rock musician.
Quotes:
Hotpress magazine:
“To take on the role of Phil Lynott is hardly easy and effortless. But Peter M. Smith is simply brilliant in his interpretation of the man himself. In fact, Smith doesn’t act the role so much as he embodies it.”
The Irish Examiner:
“the show belongs to Peter M Smith as Lynott. He gets the accent, the look, and – crucially – Philo’s presence right, and he can sing.”
The Daily Mail:
Peter M. Smith is absolutely perfect in the role and embodies the pride yet vulnerability that personified Lynott. He nails the accent and affectations, and dare I say it, the voice… is almost too good!”
Q102, Liam Coburn:
“Peter M. Smith is a legend, playing a legend… and that is rare in this business..”
