Beatyard presents Different Rhythm

Having risen from the ashes of Shaw’s legendary Disco E Cultura parties on Dublin’s south side, it’s only fitting that Different Rhythm is bringing that spirit to the new Beatyard at Cross Guns Bridge with a series of Sunday sessions celebrating the essence of those classic vinyl-only sessions.
The first edition welcomes two of Dublin’s finest record collectors as guests to the yard. Hewan Mulugeta, originally from Ethiopia, is renowned for her deep knowledge of her homeland’s rich musical heritage. Alongside a specialist collection of Ethiopian sounds, she brings an expansive selection of records from across Africa and beyond.
Joining her is Cyriac, host of the excellent The Main Ingredient on DDR. Driven by a bottomless thirst for musical discovery, his sets span genres and regions but with special mention for his forays into music from the Nordeste of Brazil, Martinique & Guadeloupe.
Hosts Pablo Santo & Mick T-Woc round out the party with selections from their respective crates of South American, Caribbean, African and other global sounds.
In short; six hours of excellent records and vibes on a Sunday. 4–10pm, no gate tax!
