This event takes place in the Creativity Hub by the main reception of IMMA.

Tune in for Penguin TV! Join Niamh Sharkey and Owen Churcher for a reading and draw-along of their delightful picture book inspired by Dublin Zoo’s penguin cam, where every penguin is ready to show off their best skills and share all their fun facts. Waddle you waiting for? It’s showtime!

Age: 5+ yrs

This is a free event. Alternatively, by choosing a donation ticket to any amount, you would be contributing towards keeping DBF events accessible for all.

Niamh Sharkey is an award-winning picture book creator and the 2012 Laureate na nÓg. Her books have won numerous awards, including the prestigious Mother Goose Award, and have been translated into over 27 languages. She is the Emmy-nominated creator and executive producer of Disney Junior’s Eureka! and of the animated preschool series Henry Hugglemonster, based on her book, I’m a Happy Hugglewug.

Owen Churcher is a graphic design and media tutor working in North Dublin, as well as a writer of children’s picture books. He studied photography and multimedia in college, and worked in a series of bookshops, and in eLearning before turning to teaching. He and Niamh are married and live in Dublin with their three children, two dogs and two goldfish.
