April 15 @ 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm
For the next chapter of Press Play, Shrem invites you on a sonic journey aboard Trans-Europe Express

For the next chapter of Press Play, Shrem invites you on a sonic journey aboard Trans-Europe Express, celebrating one of Kraftwerk’s most timeless masterpieces.

Recorded in Düsseldorf in 1976 and released in 1977, Trans-Europe Express saw the German pioneers refine their signature electronic sound – melding sequenced rhythms, stark minimalism, and manipulated vocals into something truly futuristic. Its influence has been nothing short of seismic, shaping genres from alternative rock and hip-hop to synth-pop, electro, Detroit techno, and post-punk. From Joy Division to Madonna, Radiohead to Afrika Bambaataa, Siouxsie and the Banshees to Depeche Mode – the reach of Kraftwerk’s late-’70s vision is vast and undeniable and their legacy unquestionable.

Experience Trans-Europe Express in its full original German version, played loud and luxurious on the HiFi Hatchett Sound System – an immersive, front-to-back vinyl listening session designed to pull you deep inside the record.

The night also features a special two-part, hand-curated vinyl set created exclusively for the occasion: an electronic kaleidoscope of deep cuts, cult singles, remixes, and live recordings spanning Kraftwerk’s extraordinary catalogue. From their 1974 breakthrough Autobahn to 2003’s Tour de France Soundtracks, expect a journey across half a century of groundbreaking sound – plus a selection of contemporary remixes.

With just 40 tickets available due to the intimate setting – and nine out of the last ten listening parties selling out – this is a rare, one-night-only hommage to true musical visionaries whose work continues to shape the sound of modern music.
