Its influence has been nothing short of seismic, shaping genres from alternative rock and hip-hop to synth-pop, electro, Detroit techno, and post-punk. From Joy Division to Madonna, Radiohead to Afrika Bambaataa, Siouxsie and the Banshees to Depeche Mode – the reach of Kraftwerk’s late-’70s vision is vast and undeniable and their legacy unquestionable.
