Discovering the Myths of Ireland

October 29 @ 2:00 pm - 2:45 pm
With Ellen Ryan

In Partnership with the National Museum of Ireland

Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please book 1 ticket per person attending.

In her award-winning and beautifully illustrated books, Gods Don’t Cry and Girls Who Slay Monsters (HarperCollins Children’s), author Ellen Ryan brings the adventure and magic of Irish mythology to life in new ways. For this one-of-a-kind event with the National Museum of Ireland, join Ellen as she takes the stories further, linking them with real-life artefacts from our ancient past. This interactive and immersive family experience will include a reading, ‘Which God Are You’ quiz, and Halloween fortune-telling game.

Please note we may be capturing candid imagery at this event for use on our social media and website.

Ellen Ryan is a journalist and contributor to the Irish Times and Irish Independent. She has a passion for Irish myth and loves to visit archaeological sites (though she always brings a raincoat). Along with her husband and daughter, Ellen is lucky to live by the sea in Co. Wicklow, where she can keep an eye out for sea gods.
