Based in the centre of Town, Rathmullen’s Napoleonic Gun Battery overlooks Lough Swilly and Inch Island was built in 1810 during the Napoleonic Wars to help defend Ireland against a possible French Invasion.

Under recent year with the help of the Rathmullan Way Forward group the Battery has seen investment, Renovations and Repurposing while keeping the History and Heritage of the Fort intact.

Today you while at the Fort, taking aim on our target and practicing archery.

Activity lasts approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on the size of the group. We supply all the professional equipment necessary including arrows, bows and arm protection as well as guidance and supervision to ensure your safety and enjoyment throughout the event. You will be a sharp shooter in no time at all!

Meeting point

The Battery Rathmullan, Rathmullan, Ballyboe, Woodbrook. Park in the Main Carpark in Rathmullan next to the beach. leaving the carpark walk in the direction off the Beach Comber Bar, The Batter Entrance is on the left between the Pitch and Putt and the Beach Comber Bar.

Finishes at: Eco Atlantic Adventures Rathmullan, Rathmullan. Drive into Rathmullan Village to the Direction of the pier. Our Base is situated just on the Beach Front next to the Carpark.

Cancellations by Guests

More than 14 days before the scheduled adventure:
A full refund will be issued, minus any non-refundable processing fees.

7–14 days before the scheduled adventure:
A 50% refund will be provided.

Less than 7 days before the scheduled adventure or no-shows:
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a refund due to advance operational costs and reserved spots.

Rescheduling
One complimentary reschedule is allowed if requested at least 7 days prior to the tour date. Reschedule requests made with fewer than 7 days’ notice are subject to availability and may incur a service fee.

Cancellations by Eco Atlantic Adventures
In rare cases where weather, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances require us to cancel or adjust an adventure, guests will be offered:

A full refund, or

The option to reschedule to the next available date.
