This policy explains how Dublin 360 (dublin-360.com) uses cookies and similar technologies. Dublin 360 is run by Dermot Murphy, a sole trader based in Ireland. Contact: info@dublin-360.com.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as pixels, local storage and scripts, work in the same way, and this policy covers them too.

2. Your consent

Under the Irish ePrivacy Regulations (S.I. No. 336 of 2011) and the GDPR, we only use cookies that are not strictly necessary if you agree to them. When you first visit, a consent banner lets you accept, reject or choose. You can change your mind at any time with the “Change my cookie choices” button on this page. Rejecting cookies will not stop you from using the site.

3. The cookies we use

Strictly necessary (always on)

Cookies needed for the site to work and to remember your consent choice, including WordPress, our hosting provider (Hostinger) and the consent banner itself.

Analytics (only with your consent)

Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, tells us how many people visit, which pages they read and how they found us. We use this only to improve the site.

Advertising (only with your consent)

Google AdSense and Google Ad Manager show ads on the site. With your consent, Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your interests and to measure ad performance. If you don’t consent, you may still see non-personalised ads. Our consent banner is provided by Google and follows the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework, and it lists the advertising partners involved.

Marketing (only with your consent)

The Meta (Facebook) Pixel helps us measure visits that come from Facebook and Instagram.

Third-party features (set when you use them)

Some pages contain booking widgets, forms and other tools from other companies. These may set their own cookies when they load or when you use them:

  • Tour and ticket booking: GetYourGuide, FareHarbor, Tiqets, Viator, Eventbrite
  • Travel tools: Travelpayouts (car hire and travel insurance widgets), LiteAPI (hotel search), Stasher (luggage storage)
  • Forms and chat: Jotform and Chatbase
  • Translation: GTranslate
  • Embedded media and social links: YouTube, Facebook, Instagram

Some links on the site are affiliate links. If you click one and book, the partner may use a cookie to record that you came from Dublin 360. We may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

4. How long cookies last

Some cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Others stay for a set time, from a few minutes up to about two years, depending on the provider. Each provider’s own policy has the details.

5. Managing cookies in your browser

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking every cookie may stop some features, such as booking widgets, from working.

6. Third-party policies

  • Google: policies.google.com/technologies/cookies
  • Meta: facebook.com/policies/cookies

7. Your rights

For more on how we handle personal data and on your rights under the GDPR, please see our Privacy Policy. If you have a concern, contact us at info@dublin-360.com. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).

8. Changes

We may update this policy when the tools we use change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
