The Gaeltacht River & Wild Atlantic Beaches trail for strong Intermediate and Advanced riders.

Meander along the Pilgrim’s Route, follow scenic shorelines, long sandy beaches and country bohareens. These beach trails are tide-dependent so departure times change daily to take advantage of low tide and big beaches. On this invigorating and exciting trail wear easy-dry breeches to ensure your comfort and warmth.

These rides require a good level of horse riding ability, agility and fitness. Please note that to ensure you are matched correctly with your horse you will be assessed in the arena before we leave the yard.

What to bring

Please note that you will be splashed and possibly end up wet by the end of this trail – it’s invigorating and exciting but please wear easy-dry breeches to ensure your comfort and warmth.
Feel free to bring a bottle of water and some little snacks, we have pockets on the saddle pads.
