Discover the quiet beauty of Mulroy Bay on this guided sea kayaking journey from Woodquarter to the Harry Blaney Bridge, an immersive coastal experience that showcases one of Donegal’s most tranquil and lesser-explored marine environments. This tour offers a unique opportunity to paddle the length of the bay, passing through the renowned Mulroy Narrows, where tidal flow and sheltered waters combine to create a dynamic and rewarding kayaking experience.

Departing from Woodquarter, participants will launch into calm, protected waters ideal for relaxed paddling. As the tour progresses, the landscape gradually narrows, revealing ever-changing views of wooded shoreline, rolling hills, and open skies. The Mulroy Narrows form a natural gateway within the bay, providing a sense of journey and transition as you paddle toward the northern end of Mulroy Bay.

Led by experienced Eco Atlantic Adventures guides, the tour balances adventure with insight into the local ecology, marine life, and cultural heritage of the area. Mulroy Bay is known for its rich biodiversity, and kayakers may encounter seabirds, marine life, and other wildlife that thrive in these sheltered waters. The gentle pace allows time to absorb the peaceful surroundings and connect with the natural rhythm of the bay.

The journey concludes at the iconic Harry Blaney Bridge, a striking landmark that spans the narrow mouth of the bay and marks the completion of this scenic route. Finishing beneath the bridge offers a memorable sense of achievement and a unique perspective of this well-known Donegal crossing from sea level.

Suitable for beginners and experienced paddlers alike, this sea kayaking tour combines gentle adventure, natural beauty, and local character. It is an ideal choice for those seeking a calm yet engaging outdoor experience in one of Donegal’s most scenic coastal settings. 🛶
