This led to one of the bloodiest confrontations with the British forces that Dublin had ever seen. After a week of intense fighting the rebellion was quashed and the rebellion leaders were captured and executed in Kilmainham Gaol in Dublin city.

As you continue on the cruise you will pass the famous Forty Foot, a popular swimming location, Bullock harbour, Colimore Harbour and Dalkey Island.

You will also see Sorrento point and Killiney Bay before arrive back in Dún Laoghaire.

Depending on the day, there cruise could be joined by a pod of Dolphines on the journey.
