La Mansarda: Connecting Art, Humanity, and Community Across Europe
La Mansarda is much more than a name. It’s a space where art meets purpose, a place where creative energy merges with humanitarian empathy. Our symbol, the lemon, isn’t just a fruit—it represents freshness, vitality, and, most importantly, healing. In ancient times, the lemon was used to relieve various physical ailments, and today, like La Mansarda, we aim to offer emotional healing through the arts. Just as the lemon soothed in the past, we aspire to be a balm for the soul, using the power of artistic expression.
La Mansarda was born from a desire to create a space that supports NGOs and raises awareness of their work. Initially conceived as a platform to unite art and solidarity, the vision of La Mansarda has evolved. It was inspired by the community that followed us in Dublin, and the idea of creating artistic hubs across Europe came directly from those who participated in our events. This community-driven vision has pushed us beyond local borders, bringing together people from all walks of life.
At the heart of La Mansarda is our core team: board members Alberto De Marchi, Greta Meneghel, Ligia Pagano, and Simone Esposito. They’re the backbone of the project, guiding us with expertise and passion. But we’re not alone—there are also many external individuals who help on a project-by-project or event-by-event basis. Though their involvement may vary, it’s thanks to their dedication that we can create meaningful content and bring our ideas to life.
The artists we work with are the true soul of La Mansarda. Their talent not only enriches our lives but also sparks reflection and inspires change. The community that has embraced La Mansarda is also essential to our success. It’s made up of people who show empathy for humanitarian causes and actively support our mission. This sense of solidarity makes La Mansarda more than just an art project—it’s a movement that connects people through a shared belief in the power of art to create positive change.
We’re also proud to be a registered third-sector entity in Italy, working alongside organizations like Emergency to support their efforts in crisis zones. Our events aren’t just about raising funds; they’re about creating a platform to showcase the transformative power of art, foster connections, and build bridges across communities.
Looking ahead, we’re thrilled to announce an event in Naples on March 21st, followed by an exciting event in Valencia on April 26th. And of course, we’ll be returning to Dublin later this year. These events are more than just opportunities to experience art—they’re chances to be part of something bigger, to join a community that cares about social change. And, as always, we’ll wrap up each event with a sweet treat—tiramisu!
We’re always looking for collaborators, sponsors, and supporters who share our vision. If you believe in the power of art to spark change, we’d love to have you join us. Your support helps us continue to make an impact, creating more opportunities for artists and supporting humanitarian causes.
