Niamh Campbell and Doireann Ní Ghríofa

Join us for a morning around two haunting novels that explore the link between memory, remembering, motherhood and voices that linger across generations. Niamh Campbell’s Make Strange (W&N) is an emotionally charged family story where a child begins speaking of past lives and the time she died. In her distinctive, lyrical writing, Doireann Ní Ghríofa’s Said the Dead (Faber & Faber) blends history and ghost story as forgotten women’s voices rise from an abandoned Cork hospital. The authors join author Belinda McKeon in conversation.
