Use the street machine or Payzone (app, web, text to 53311 or call 01 244 9999). ParkMagic only works in Q-Park car parks.

Maximum stay

Limits are set street by street, so read the sign before you leave the car.

Disabled parking

A valid Disabled Person’s Parking Permit lets you park free in any pay and display space.

Clamping: release costs €125, and unpaid cars can be towed after 24 hours (€250 plus €35 a day). Enforcement changes from 1 November 2026, when a new council contract starts.

Luas Park & Ride: the budget option

Leave the car on the edge of the city and take the tram in. Parking doesn’t include a Luas ticket, so buy one for the same day.
